Colour Trends for Summer 2009
We saw many black and white color combinations last year, and this high-contrast color scheme returns for 2009. Black and 
white still looks sophisticated and fresh for spring and summer. This year’s black and white prints are more likely to be stylized than floral, but don’t get rid of last summer’s black and white floral clothing yet because you can still wear it this year.
Turquoise and marine blues seem just right for warm spring days. Because turquoise flatters all skin tones, turquoise 
clothing and accessories are good additions to any woman’s wardrobe. The best neutrals to wear with turquoise are brown for an earthy, sunny look, black for a more sophisticated palette, and white for a cool feeling on a hot summer day.
Color pops that look good with turquoise and work well for accessorizing include lime green, red, purple, and yellow. By changing your accessory colors, you can create many very different looks when you wear turquoise clothing.
Metallics will shine for spring/summer 2009. Although predominantly silver and gold, you can find other neutral colors in metallics, such as bronze or pewter, as well as colors with a metallic finish. To avoid overwhelming a shorter petite frame with too much shimmer, choose either a metallic handbag or metallic shoes, rather than wearing both at the same time.
