Indian fashion  In India people can celebrate different festivals and they can wear different different clothes for that particular occasion. So we saw some the most famous festivals and its dressup.

Holi

Entire country wears a festive look when it is time for Holi celebration. Market places get abuzz with activity as frenzied shoppers start making preparations for the festival. Holi is festival of colors. Every one enjoying very much and they are wearing white dresses and then they play a Holi with Bright colours of gulal and abeer fill the air and people take turns in pouring colour water over each other.

Navratri

Navratri’ means ‘nine nights’. There are many legends attached to the conception of Navratri like all Indian festivals but all of them are related to Goddess Shakti (Hindu Mother Goddess) and her various forms. Though it is one of the most celebrated festivals of Hindu calendar, it holds special significance for Gujratis and Bengalis. Dandiya and Garba Rass are the highlights of the festival. And all this nine nights children and adults dress up in new bright-colored dresses or chaniya choli for the night performances.

Diwali

One of the biggest festivals of Hindus, Deepawali or Diwali in India is celebrated with lots of enthusiasm and happiness, ‘Festival of Lights’. Fireworks are always associated with this festival. The day is celebrated with people lighting diyas, candles all around their house. Lakshmi Puja is performed in the evening to seek divine blessings of Goddess of Wealth. People can wear tradtionl and very heavy dress up for this festival.

Karva Chauth

The day of Karva Chauth is celebrated mostly amongst the entire North Indian community.Women celebrate by buying bangles and applying henna patterns on their hands. New brides wear their bridal outfits and others wear outfits woven with gold. Those who have keep the vrat, dress up beautifully in their chunris or in red or pink clothes with chonp and bindi on their foreheads. In the evening, women dress up in special clothes, usually a red or pink sari or ‘lehenga-choli’ with gold woven ‘zari’ patterns. New brides often wear their bridal costume.

Durga puja

Durga Puja is one of the most popular versions of this festival celebrated in Eastern India,Durga Puja attracts many visitors from all over India as well as foreign tourists, but the festival is especially popular among the people of West Bengal. All people buy very special clothes for this festival Durga Puja is celebrated five days.
